There was plenty of excitement heading into INBOUND 2018 in regards to the new product launches that were going to be announced, and it’s safe to say that HubSpot didn’t disappoint.
HubSpot has announced either brand new tools or enhancements to current features across four different categories. The Enterprise Growth Suite and the Marketing Hub Enterprise announcements both featured some exciting products, as did HubSpot Video. Now, it’s time to look at the newest addition - the standalone CMS.
Why the Standalone HubSpot CMS is Beneficial
Previously, the only way to access the HubSpot CMS was to purchase the Marketing Hub Starter and pay for the CMS as an add-on. The problem with that was not every marketer was going to use every single feature - they might have only wanted what the CMS offered but had to pay for a load of marketing tools they weren't going to use.
That’s not the case any more. The HubSpot CMS is now available as its own product - hence being described as standalone.
The main benefit of this new feature is that it still ties into the free (brilliant) CRM. This alone opens up many more engaging possibilities such as personalisation and important design benefits all in one impressive tool - even for those who don't want the marketing suite. But your website data still directly informs your CRM.
HubSpot offering the CMS on its own shows just how much it’s been developed. Previously, the primary benefit was that the CMS was tied into a well-developed CRM and marketing platform, but relatively basic and it wouldn’t have survived as a separate product.
Now, it’s been fine-tuned enough so that it’s useful and sophisticated enough to stand on its own legs.
