As one of the Inbound Managers at Digital 22, I’m lucky enough to be able to attend Hubspot’s...
There are many handy apps available which can make your life a lot easier at work. Here at Digital 22 we use quite a few apps and extensions to help us work faster and get better results for our clients. Here are the must-have apps for inbound marketers. If you feel we've missed any on this list, then please share yours in the comments below.
1. Zapier
(screenshot from Zapier.com)
Zapier links all your data between all your apps and extensions. It's an incredible time saver. When you're dealing with lots of data, Zapier saves you the hassle of having to manually fill out the information anew again because it transfers it for you. There's another app that's similar called If This Then That which also does the trick.
2. Wappalyzer
When you need to quickly look behind-the-scenes of a website, Wappalyzer is the tool you need. This is a browser extension that lets you detect exactly what a website is using, such as:
- Content management systems
- Web servers
- JavaScript frameworks
- eCommerce platforms
- Comment systems
- Dev tools
- and much more
This is handy when you want to find out what your competitors are using.
3. HubSpot Sales
HubSpot's Sales app has free and paid versions depending on what you need. This is an excellent tool that helps you organise your prospects and create a database that your sales team can use.
You can build a list of email templates and find new prospects (and monitor them). With this app you can also see what actions your sales team has made for each prospect so you can avoid spamming your potential customers.
4. HubSpot Mobile App
As an inbound marketing agency, we find HubSpot's mobile app is fantastic for staying in the loop and keeping an eye on how your marketing strategy is progressing.
You can quickly check-in on your website traffic, contacts, customers and much more. Being able to monitor your campaigns so easily, saves lots of time and means you don't need to be permanently attached to a desktop.
5. Pocket
If you've read any of our other blogs about the best apps to use, then you've probably seen that I've mentioned Pocket before. From the number of times I've talked about Pocket, it's obvious I'm a major fan.
With a simple click, this app saves any pages you want to return to later. So, when you're regularly finding blogs to read but don't always have the time to read them, you can save a blog or article with Pocket and read it when you're free. This way you can stay up-to-date with the latest Google updates and news in digital marketing.
6. The Great Suspender
Another personal favourite (and life saver for my laptop). If you're like me, and prefer to have lots of tabs open at once, your computer tends to slow down.
The Great Suspender in action!
But thanks to The Great Suspender, I can open as many tabs as I like and if they haven't been used in a while, the app suspends them so it's not draining my computer speed.
