Manchester HUG September 2020 round-up: INBOUND 2020 highlights

At the virtual Manchester HUG in September, our very own Head of Sales, Caroline, kicked off the event with her talk on introducing personalisation into sales. Joining her was Rachel Ahearne, Principal Channel Consultant at HubSpot, who touched on the latest announcement revealed at INBOUND 2020.

Some of the updates included the HubSpot CRM, marketing contacts and more. Check out her full talk in the video below or keeping reading for a summary of what she had to say.

HubSpot INBOUND highlights

More than one-third of CRM implementation projects fail and more than 50% of sales leaders find their CRM system really difficult to use and they find that it doesn't suit their budget.

Not only is HubSpot's CRM update powerful and easy to use, but it saves valuable time. Instead of users feeling swamped by trying to learn complex CRM systems, they can spend more time managing their day-to-day.

One way HubSpot does this is by automatically your CRM with important data. By scanning your prospects' email signature, it pulls all the relevant information, like name, job, title, company and even the LinkedIn profile. It then puts it into the CRM records.

HubSpot estimates that this feature alone could save up to one hour of time per week - time that can now be spent on closing deals. Rather than sales reps having to manage everything from multiple platforms, it's all in one place.

What else?

Rachel went on to reveal some information on some new accounting integrations, features to tailor proposals, handy sales analytics to get complete visibility and more.

One of the most exciting updates, along with the big focus on the Sales Hub Enterprise, was the marketing contacts update. Rachel highlighted some of the frustrations customers had with HubSpot's pricing for customers - and what they're doing to fix it.

Now, customers only pay for the contacts they marketing to, when they need it.

There's also a competition at the end, so make sure to watch the full video and submit your answers to the email provided.

If you want to attend more talks like these live over Zoom (and hopefully in person again), make sure to register for the next HUG.

What is the Manchester HUG?

The Manchester HubSpot User Group is an event hosted by Digital 22 for like-minded people to share their inbound tactics and experience to help everyone learn and improve together.

At the HUG, you’ll learn what works for other companies that attend and get the chance to network with other people that use HubSpot. It's also a great opportunity to ask any questions to the experts in attendance.

We've just had the last one of the year but for more insights like this, you can check out our blog.
