We're proud to be a HubSpot Diamond Certified Agency Partner, but what exactly is HubSpot? This blog post explains what it is, why we use it and why it's our Content Management System (CMS) of choice.

What is HubSpot?

HubSpot is an all-inclusive CMS software used all around the world. It's the leading voice in inbound marketing - with its creators having originally coined the term. HubSpot has come a long way to grow the inbound methodology across the globe since starting in 2006. If you’re interested in discovering more on inbound marketing, check out our helpful resource here which explores the whole process.

The software is the main port of call for everything inbound marketing. It allows us, as digital marketers, to manage website content as well as every other aspect of inbound, such as:

It also offers full analytics, covering each of these functions and providing us with the right data to see how to further develop marketing campaigns.

Why is HubSpot the market leader?

HubSpot leads the market because of the features it offers - they’re proactive, evidence-based and work in real-time. It’s this kind of back-end support that allows users to get on with planning and creating great campaigns.

The user interface, a simple mix of dashboards and tools, saves time and allows integrated sharing and analysis of content across the major social platforms. Essentially, everything works in harmony with a straightforward, 'closed-loop' Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) to help you manage leads autonomously. All aspects work together to form manageable and data-producing campaigns.

The HubSpot Academy.

One of the best things about HubSpot is the HubSpot Academy. This is an online platform where marketers (or anyone for that matter) can watch a series of informative videos, take part in workshops and take tests to expand their inbound marketing knowledge. This kind of service allows all of us to learn, grow and ultimately create better work.

Any organisation using HubSpot can benefit from these lessons. We use them a lot and revisit them when they’re updated - so we’re always in the loop, keeping up with the latest surrounding inbound marketing. This is what has led to our achievement of Diamond tier partner status.

Being involved with HubSpot at this level opens up a range of networks and services such as training conferences and chances to liaise with other agencies and experts from around the world at HubSpot events - such as the yearly INBOUND event held in Boston.

Why HubSpot is great for marketers.

The seamless integration with third-party software and social accounts make marketers' lives much easier. More importantly, so does the thorough tracking which allows great reporting and automated CRM.

This makes automation super easy. It guarantees a helpful depth when creating workflows meaning that nurturing a contact via email is fully automated. Simple, right?

This means marketers can instead spend their time planning future campaigns, creating amazing content for their persona and analysing their previous marketing efforts. Instead of re-organising contacts into different workflows and managing where you need to place which contact, you have all this capacity to really understand what it takes to ace your marketing.

Why HubSpot is great for sales.

As leads have been fully tracked from the moment they enter the sales funnel, sales teams can benefit from having the full picture of their contact. On the other side, that contact is much more likely to be converted into a customer. Their buyer's journey can be tracked through from start to finish.

The inbound technique means contacts have been attracted into visiting the site, enjoyed the free, educational content and usually sought out the sales team once ready to purchase.

This means sales teams spend their time engaging with fewer dead-end leads. Inbound marketing is often accused of being too slow, but 72% of HubSpot users saw an increase in sales in their first year of using the software.

Why HubSpot is great for businesses.

Inbound is perfect for growing businesses and startups. The way HubSpot allows easy, cost-effective management and reporting means that your team can carry on working on developing the business whilst the marketing can be managed or outsourced easily.

If you work with an agency, the HubSpot system also allows shared access which promotes transparency for both client and agency. This means a business can use marketing teams and manage them without any of the burdens of employing them as their own staff.
