Inbound 2022: Keynote round-up

2 mins read

It’s that time of the year again. Thousands of people within the HubSpot community use INBOUND to reset their goals and maximise the potential use of the platform for customer engagement. What makes this year even more exciting is that the event is virtual and in-person for the first time ever, and a few of our team members are lucky enough to have travelled to Boston for the event, whilst the rest have enjoyed attending virtually.

f225dd2b-dc19-401c-a1cb-04ab09502082A hotly anticipated event at INBOUND is always the keynote on the main stage. It’s one of the things I remember most from my trip in 2018 (which was incredible). You hear from the key people at HubSpot about their goals and themes for the year and more importantly how they’re going to do it.

When I visited,  we were treated to presentations from HubSpot’s own Brian and Dharmesh. This year we heard from Yamini and Dharmesh, and the key theme of their talks was all about the connected customer. I guess the event itself is a prime example of that; let me dive a little deeper…

Crisis of Disconnection

It’s no secret that the way we live and work has changed a lot in the last few years, and these changes exist on a global level. It’s something Josh, Head of Strategy at Avidly UK/CA, spoke about at this year’s LOVE INBOUND. He outlined how recent societal and environmental changes have impacted the way your customers are looking to deal with challenges and identify solutions, altering their buying journeys and relationships with brands as a result.

It seems a lot of businesses are struggling to connect all the dots between data, systems, prospects, customers and communities, making it hard to connect with customers and encourage engagement and open communication between consumer and brand. HubSpot and other industry leaders have labelled this phenomenon the Crisis of Disconnection.

So what is HubSpot doing to help?

HubSpot is a platform that has constantly been evolving to address the needs of its users, and there seems to be no sign of that stopping.  In fact, the powers that be at HubSpot are investing in further development to make the platform even bigger, so that it can be used by members as a fully connected CRM. The hope is for the platform to facilitate more profound and meaningful relationships between companies and their customers as a result.

Choosing to incorporate HubSpot into your operations as a platform that allows for and actively promotes meaningful connections will ensure clients and potential partners will receive the experience they’re looking for whenever they communicate with you.

HubSpot’s flexibility, adaptability and capacity for personalisation will enable your customers to feel known and, ultimately, valued, thereby supporting them throughout their journey from awareness through to becoming a promoter for your brand.

This not only means you’ll be able to secure long-term and prosperous relationships with your customers, but you’re also more likely to see a higher proportion of your customers return and direct their own contacts to your company, all as a result of using a fully connected CRM platform like HubSpot.

Here are some of the key HubSpot tools to help customers seeking real connections:

  • Customer journey analytics is now in Beta - this allows you to tailor the journey that customer will go on to deliver the best experience for them.
  • Campaign tool improvements - you’ll find you can work out campaign ROI by turning tactics into complete campaigns with the ability to analyse outcomes and the impact of each channel, whilst making sure your team is fully aligned, uses one calendar, build task lists and collaborates on the comment threads in there.
  • Better reporting and data management with custom reports and property validations. Make use of all these and you’re CRM will be clean.
  • Free CMS to create a 25-page website that is fully connected to your CRM.
  • HubSpot Payments - there are now more ways to accept payments using things like forms, meetings and marketing emails

There are loads more too. This little video from HubSpot can help you find out all the latest product updates.

It really is an exciting time to be part of the HubSpot community and a user of the tool. If you want to learn more about HubSpot and how it can help you get more connected with your customers, get in touch with our team today.
