COVID-19 challenges webinar - predicting your company’s performance in unpredictable times.

2 mins read

In these challenging times, it’s completely natural for businesses to wonder what’s around the corner. We know a lot of people are thinking the same thing and are worried, so we’ve decided to do what we can and help you where possible. We brought along five industry leaders for our webinar series: helping marketing and sales professionals navigate the challenges caused by COVID-19.

At Digital 22, we do all of our reporting through Databox. It’s great to track the analytics that matter to us and to our clients. To help you predict your company’s performance during unpredictable times, Peter Caputa, CEO of Databox, was one of five guests during our webinar series. Check out the video below, totally free and ungated, to hear what he had to say.

To set the scene, Peter highlighted how the world has rapidly changed overnight. Businesses have shut down, most are reviewing expenses and office workers are working remotely. But on the flip side, some companies in certain industries are growing and others are taking opportunities to make smart investments and serve new markets.

As you can imagine, there’s a lot to worry about. The impact of the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in prospective customers postponing buying decisions, they’re cancelling contracts, events are no longer taking place and more.

However, Peter touched on certain aspects you can control.

  • Marketing: your website traffic, signups, leads and sales meetings.
  • Sales: new sales, upgrades, sales of services, cancellations, downgrades and reactivations.
  • Finance: cash collected, expenses and profit/loss.

He also offered advice on realigning your team on the right goals during this time. This includes focusing on outputs over outcomes, quality over quantity and leading over lagging. To find about each of the tips above, make sure to hit the play button to hear a more in-depth explanation.

If you’re wondering how you can serve your committed customers better, Peter did touch on some resources you might find valuable. Look into Databox for starters, as there’s new functionality at no extra cost. They’ve cut the price of the service and have doubled the dashboard by switching to quarterly payments.

With Databox such a handy, robust tool, it’s worth looking into. He also highlighted what HubSpot is doing during these times, as well as the likes of PayPal and Gusto who are deferring payments.

There’s a lot of good stuff which Peter mentioned such as how you can predict 30 days out, the right marketing and sales strategy for you to try right now and also a much better way for you to track performances right away.

To make sure you soak in all of that useful knowledge, watch the video and stick around to the end - just in case he answered a query you had on your mind.

Databox is one of the many tools we use as part of our inbound marketing campaigns. One thing to remember about inbound is that the moves you make right now are what will impact your results in Q3 and Q4. It’s why we had experts share their knowledge and they all had one common theme - you can’t stop all of your efforts entirely.
