Reimagining BankiFi's digital presence: A case study in website transformation

Sian oversees BankiFi's overall marketing efforts and its global initiatives. She has worked in the tech industry for five years and was previously employed at creative and digital agencies across Europe. Through her past roles, Sian became familiar with HubSpot’s powerful capabilities.
As BankiFi’s Marketing Executive, Elle is responsible for creating quality content and supporting clients in their marketing efforts. Before joining the company, Elle graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University and gained experience in the e-commerce industry.

BankiFi currently provides engagement banking solutions to banks in the UK, North America and New Zealand. The company has a deep understanding of the mutual needs of both traditional banks and small businesses. While the former face challenges with deposit growth and relationship primacy, the latter struggle with late payments and saving time on their financial admin.
BankiFi’s mission is to help banks by transforming their digital channels from being purely transactional into a central place for small businesses to run their business, manage their payments and more. By equipping banks to become customer centric beyond banking services, BankiFi helps them to foster deeper relationships, increase business deposits, expand lending opportunities and reduce costs. This allows banks and their customers to thrive.
In 2021, BankiFi first collaborated with Avidly (then Digital 22) to develop and enhance their website. Only a few years later, the company had outgrown this site and needed a new one to better reflect its products and services. That’s when they turned to Avidly for help again.
BankiFi has grown rapidly over the past three years, significantly expanding its range of services.
The Challenge
Now that BankiFi’s offerings had changed so much, they needed to leave their old website behind because:
- It was no longer converting
- It didn’t cater to the many different personas within traditional banks
- It didn’t create any brand awareness and failed to fully educate banks about available services
The Solution
BankiFi decided to create a new website and, after their positive experience with Digital 22, reached out to Avidly for support.
They believed Avidly could help them design a website that better reflected their current offerings and their overall brand.
In addition, they also needed a brand uplift to better showcase their company and increase brand awareness.

The Results
Showing who they really are
The new website and brand uplift enabled Bankifi to accurately showcase the values they stand for and the services they offer to their clients.
“For us the project was never about trying to triple traffic, it was about making sure that the website represents the business in the right way. We are now very proud of what the website looks like and for the first time we happily share it with existing clients and prospects. Because it accurately portrays what we do as a business.” said Sian.
Saving time and experiencing new possibilities
The new website allowed BankiFi to implement all the changes they had wanted to make in the previous year.
Suddenly, they were able to save time and resources because they no longer had to build time-consuming website pages. Instead, Avidly created templates and modules that could be easily duplicated. Elle was also able to launch a new campaign focused on reporting, making it easier to track and convert website visitors.
“The variations of templates that the team at Avidly created allowed us to be more creative when building landing pages and forms. It also enabled us to see the website through the eyes of our clients and prospects.” said Elle.
Turning prospects into clients
Through their cooperation with Avidly, BankiFi was able to create a website that would enable them to further grow their business and provide prospects with the necessary information to become clients.
“I don’t think we were the easiest client. I don’t think website projects ever are easy. But the flexibility on both sites was really appreciated. I think in another 6 months we will be able to look back and say we’ve driven more of the right traffic from the UK and from Europe.” - Sian added.
